Five hundred-plus vendors from all 27-plus Indian states set up in one stadium, which means the National Street Food Festival solves a problem every food-curious traveler to India eventually runs into: the country's regional cuisines are so vast that no single trip covers them. Here they come to you — Kolkata rolls a few stalls down from Hyderabadi biryani, Rajasthani dal baati next to something you've never heard of from the Northeast, all in walking distance of each other.

This is about as solo-friendly a food event as exists: nobody needs a group to graze fifteen different regional cuisines in an afternoon, and the sheer density of options means you're never stuck negotiating what to eat with anyone but yourself. Entry is nominal and individual dishes run ₹50-200, so the whole day costs less than a single sit-down meal would in most cities this size.
